Amazon Fashion Marketplace is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Selection to lead the selection strategy in the Fashion category and offer the widest range of products to delight Customers in Japan.
In this role, you will define the most relevant Fashion items to bring to Amazon and identify how to help them succeed. You will drive initiatives that lead to new selection creation in focus categories as well as identify the key levers to drive traffic to these products and help Customers with their purchase decision.
You will work closely with product management, account management, marketing, finance and operations teams to enable Selling Partners to offer their full selection at Amazon and make it discoverable to Customers.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, operate with autonomy, be able to communicate insights and influence other teams, and drive results in a fast-moving business.
- Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to increase selection from existing Sellers and launch new products on Amazon Japan
- Design and scale mechanisms to accelerate new product success, focusing on discovery, customer engagement, and sales growth through collaboration with Account Management teams and partnership with international cross-functional teams to implement features and improvements tailored for the Japanese market
- Lead the implementation and adoption of automated product launch programs that help Sellers successfully introduce new products through streamlined promotional and advertising tools
- Design and maintain comprehensive metrics, reports, and dashboards to track initiatives progress and drive key business decisions
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to deliver insights into selection opportunities and guide long-term strategy
- Analyze the performance and ROI of selection growth initiatives, providing regular updates to leadership and recommending optimizations
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience analyzing data and applying best practices to assess performance drivers
- Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in supporting quantitative and qualitative consumer research
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese at a business level or above (N1+)
