Amazon's India FC Network is at the heart of our global fulfillment and logistics ecosystem — enabling seamless, scalable, and efficient operations across our expanding network. As a Senior Manager of Process Engineering, you will be a key leader driving operational excellence, process standardization, and continuous improvement across the INFC network.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will lead a high performing PE team, partnering closely with Operations, Technology, Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and scale processes that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. You will be expected to think big, challenge the status quo, and deliver measurable impact at scale.
This is a people-first leadership role — you will be responsible for developing talent, building organizational capability, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability within your team and across the broader INFC network.
Key job responsibilities
Process Design & Standardization:
Lead the design, documentation, and deployment of scalable standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process frameworks across the INFC network.
Drive end-to-end process mapping from associate onboarding through operational lifecycle, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Partner with ACES and cross-functional teams to embed continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) into daily operations.
Operational Excellence & Performance:
Own and drive key performance metrics including productivity, quality, cost-to-serve, and safety across the INFC network.
Identify and lead high-impact process improvement initiatives that deliver measurable results in safety, speed, quality, and cost.
Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track progress against goals and surface actionable insights.
People Leadership & Talent Development:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Process Engineers building a strong pipeline of future leaders.
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations to support team growth and engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary PE liaison to Operations, Technology, Finance, and senior leadership within the INFC network.
Influence without authority across peer teams (L&D, ICQA, SME & CF) to align on priorities and drive integrated solutions.
Communicate program status, risks, and results clearly to senior leadership through structured business reviews and flash reports.
Technology & Innovation:
Partner with Tech teams to identify automation and digitization opportunities that enhance process efficiency and associate experience.
Champion the adoption of new tools, systems, and technologies that support process engineering goals across the network.
Lead pilots and scale successful innovations across the INFC network.
Learning & Capability Building:
Oversee the development of training materials, onboarding programs, and capability-building initiatives for process engineering across sites.
Ensure that process knowledge is captured, documented, and accessible to all relevant stakeholders.
A day in the life
Operational Review: Reviewing operational performance data and key metrics dashboards to identify any immediate process gaps.
Team Syncs & 1:1s: Conducting structured 1:1 meetings with direct reports to review project progress, remove blockers, provide coaching, and align on priorities.
Process Improvement Deep Dives: Leading or participating in Kaizen events, root cause analysis sessions, or process walk-throughs on the floor to identify improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering with Operations, ACES, ICQA, L&D, and Tech teams to align on shared priorities, review program status, and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Reviewing productivity, quality, and cost-to-serve metrics; preparing inputs for weekly/monthly business reviews and flash reports for senior leadership.
SOP & Training Development: Reviewing and approving new or updated SOPs, training materials, and process documentation developed by the PE team.
Strategic Planning: Allocating time to roadmap planning, identifying upcoming network changes or launches that require PE support, and aligning resources accordingly.
Leadership Reviews: Presenting program updates, performance results, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in structured business reviews.
