Sr Operations Manager, SSD Operations
About the role
We are looking for a results-driven Regional Manager to lead Sub Same Day (SSD) operations across multiple sites in the São Paulo Metro Area. This leader will own end-to-end operational performance — from inbound transfers through dispatch to last mile — ensuring we deliver on our ultra-fast promise (3-hour delivery) while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost efficiency. The Regional Manager will be responsible for building a high-performing team, driving continuous improvement, and scaling operations to meet growing customer demand in one of Brazil's most complex and dynamic logistics environments.
- Key job responsibilities
- Safety & Compliance: Own the safety culture across all nodes in the São Paulo metro region, ensuring zero-tolerance for safety violations and driving proactive risk mitigation programs
- People Leadership: Lead, develop, and coach a team of Site Leads/Area Managers across multiple nodes; drive talent development, succession planning, and a culture of ownership and accountability
- Network Performance: Monitor and optimize key operational metrics (OTR, throughput per hour, fill rates, dispatch compliance, DPMO) to ensure consistent performance across all sites
- Capacity & Planning: Partner with Planning and Network Design teams to forecast volume, manage labor capacity, and ensure operational readiness for peak events and network expansion
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and eliminate defects through root cause analysis; implement standardized mechanisms (Gemba walks, audits, daily/weekly business reviews) to raise the performance bar across all nodes
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with Transportation, Last Mile, PXT, and Finance teams to resolve constraints, align on priorities, and deliver business outcomes
- Cost Management: Own P&L accountability for the region; drive labor efficiency, reduce cost per package, and identify opportunities for operational savings without compromising speed or quality
- Expansion Support: Support launches of new SSD nodes in the metro area, ensuring operational readiness, process standardization, and seamless ramp-up
