• Key job responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of 8-12 cash application specialists, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development to build a high-performing operations team
• Own end-to-end cash application operations for AWS APAC customers, ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments across multiple currencies and payment channels
• Drive operational excellence by establishing and monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and quality metrics, consistently achieving 95%+ same-day cash application rates and minimizing unapplied cash aging
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Collections, Billing, Treasury, Customer Service, and Technical teams to resolve complex payment discrepancies and system issues
• Analyze payment trends, exception patterns, and aging reports to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions that prevent recurring issues
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate cash application, timely resolution of outstanding items, and compliance with financial reporting requirements

AWS Cash Application L5 Manager position In Manila:

Daily Activities

• Review and prioritize cash application queues to ensure timely processing of customer payments across multiple payment channels
• Monitor team performance metrics and KPIs, identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to meet SLA targets
• Conduct daily stand-ups with the cash application team to address blockers, redistribute workload, and ensure alignment on priorities
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Collections, Billing, Treasury, and Customer Service to resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash issues
• Analyze aging reports and exception queues to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for automation or process optimization
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members on complex payment scenarios, system navigation, and customer account reconciliation
• Escalate critical issues to senior leadership and coordinate with technical teams to resolve system-related payment processing problems
• Review and approve payment adjustments, write-offs, and account corrections within established authorization limits
• Participate in month-end close activities, ensuring accurate cash application and timely resolution of outstanding items

Basic Qualifications

• • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• • 5+ years of experience in finance operations, accounts receivable, or cash application functions
• • 2+ years of people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• • Experience with cash application processes, payment reconciliation, and accounts receivable management
• • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)
• • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and identify process improvements
• • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
