Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a dynamic Content Manager to join our Theatrical Marketing team. This role will partner with Theatrical Marketing Managers to develop and execute compelling social, digital, and influencer marketing strategies that drive audience engagement and box office performance for film releases across Mexico.
The ideal candidate blends marketing, sociology, and storytelling to move at the speed of culture. As a trend decoder and pulse-checker of the creative world, you will observe, decode, and shape the future of how creativity meets community. You will develop strategies that serve as bridges between the culture each film's audience(s) lives in and the film's campaign—ensuring every touchpoint feels authentic, exciting and resonant.
Key job responsibilities

Social Media Strategy

Craft and implement data-driven social media strategies aligned with global campaign objectives for theatrical releases and owned profiles

Develop innovative digital storytelling and creative concepts with strong cultural relevance

Design comprehensive editorial calendars and amplification strategies for theatrical events

Monitor and leverage emerging trends and consumer behaviours
-
Coordinate with Marketing and PR teams to maximize campaign impact

Content Strategy & Production
-
Lead end-to-end content strategy development and implementation
-
Oversee content production, including briefing, editing, and quality control (including community management)

Manage production schedules and ensure alignment with marketing campaigns
-
Drive innovation in content formats and platform utilization

Analyse performance metrics and optimize content strategies accordingly

Maintain vendor relationships (agencies, freelancers, contributors)

Engage and manage agencies, social platforms and creative collaborators

Cultural Intelligence & Strategy

Analyse trends, memes, subcultures, and social movements to identify opportunities for title relevance

Strategize on how to enter cultural conversations authentically

Write creative briefs rooted in cultural context that inspire innovative campaign executions

Talent & Influencer Collaborations

Build and manage a network of content creators

Negotiate and execute creator collaborations

Optimize international promotional opportunities

Track and analyse creator performance metrics

Collaborate with social media platforms (existing and emerging) to amplify campaigns and leverage latest technologies
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in content, editorial, or marketing roles within the theatrical, film, or entertainment industry
- Demonstrated success developing and managing content strategies across digital and social platforms, at global media companies
- Experience using data and metrics to evaluate content performance and optimize for audience engagement
- Experience collaborating with creative, marketing, and regional teams to deliver content aligned to campaign goals
- Strong knowledge of the local entertainment landscape, content consumption trends, and cultural nuances relevant to the market
- Experience communicating content plans and performance insights to internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
- Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
