Principal TPM, Off-Amazon Shopping
About the role
Off-Amazon Shopping is redefining how Amazon acquires, understands, and serves products from across the internet. Using AI and agentic pipelines, we crawl merchant sites at scale, extract high-fidelity product attributes, and deliver live off-Amazon offers to Search, Rufus, Buy-for-Me, and Unified Detail Pages. The mission is ambitious: make any product findable on the internet available to Amazon customers.
We are looking for a Principal TPM to own the technical primitives that make this possible. In addition to coordinating across a complex multi-org program, you will need to engage deeply with the technology, shape decisions, resolve ambiguity early, and build the mechanisms that let the org move fast without breaking quality.
Key job responsibilities
Own delivery of the core OAS technical stack: web-scale product acquisition, LLM-based attribute extraction and evaluation, and offer vending to downstream customer experiences across Search, Rufus, Buy-for-Me, and others.
Define milestones, success metrics, and hold teams accountable to them.
Drive alignment across VP organizations (Stores, ASCS, Rufus, OAS) where priorities diverge and ownership boundaries are contested. Represent the OAS program in senior leadership forums, and translate between technical complexity and business outcomes.
Engage directly in system design discussions for acquisition pipelines, extraction models, and vending architecture. Pressure-test decisions, identify gaps, and evaluate build vs. partner tradeoffs across a dependency landscape that includes ASCS, Search, and AI platform teams.
Build durable mechanisms: review cadences, cross-team decision frameworks, risk tracking, and metrics dashboards.
Mentor peer TPMs in the OAS org and raise the bar on planning rigor and technical engagement.
