Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for an exceptional attorney to join the legal team supporting Amazon Leo, with a focus on network products and services.
This role will serve as product counsel for strategic initiatives related to our network products and services. You will be responsible for counseling Amazon Leo's product, engineering, compliance, and operations teams on a wide range of issues across our network infrastructure, traffic management, and customer-facing products. You will work directly with the business to handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Your day will be dynamic and impactful, collaborating across multiple teams to navigate complex legal landscapes. You'll engage with product, engineering, and operations teams, translating intricate legal requirements into actionable strategies that accelerate our mission of global connectivity.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
- Experience solving problems with technology in the Telecommunications industry
- Experience with telecommunications regulatory matters, ISP obligations, or network management legal frameworks
- Background in technology or product-focused legal support

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
