Come build the future of Quick Commerce Seller Experience with the Amazon Now (Tez) team!
We're building a brand-new, from-the-ground-up initiative in the fast-growing world of Quick Commerce, and we're looking for passionate Software Development Engineers to help build world-class seller tools and experiences.
Why Seller Experience Matters: Quick Commerce lives or dies by selection. Sellers are the lifeblood of this selection—and their experience directly determines whether they onboard, stay engaged, and expand their offerings on Amazon Now. Our Seller Experience charter is the engine that powers selection growth.
As an SDE II on the Seller Experience team, you'll be developing seller tools and experiences across seller fees/accounting, S3P upsell, pricing, promotions, and selection intelligence. You'll work on a completely brand new e-commerce experience using client-side rendering frameworks based on ReactJS and powered by multiple backend services being developed from the ground up.
This is a true 0→1 opportunity where your code will directly impact how millions of sellers engage with Quick Commerce globally.
- Key job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable seller-facing applications and backend services for the Amazon Now Seller Experience platform
- Develop robust backend services and APIs that power seller onboarding, accounting, S3P upsell, and selection intelligence features
- Collaborate with Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to define technical solutions that solve seller problems at scale
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Amazon's engineering best practices
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions
- Own the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and operations
- Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and seller experience
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the engineering bar across the team
- Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapid iteration cycles
A day in the life
You'll start your day collaborating with your team on sprint planning or design reviews for new seller features. You might spend your morning building a new React component for the seller pricing dashboard, then shift to implementing backend APIs for fee calculation services. You'll work closely with TPMs and Product Managers to understand seller pain points and translate them into technical solutions. Afternoons might involve debugging production issues, conducting code reviews for teammates, or pair programming on complex features. You'll regularly interact with cross-functional partners including business teams, operations, and even sellers themselves to ensure your solutions deliver real impact. Throughout the day, you'll be empowered to make technical decisions, experiment with new approaches, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
