Deliver AI Innovation in Compliance at Amazon:

Are you seeking an environment where you can drive innovation? Do you want to apply state-of-the-art computer science to solve real world problems? Amazon is looking for Software Development Engineers who are passionate about solving highly ambiguous and challenging problems at global scale.

Join a team building the future of automated compliance in the product space. Your work will directly impact Amazon's ability to serve customers and partners safely and efficiently across the globe.
We build systems that automatically de-risk Amazon sellers' product selection and help them easily test and certify their products.

As a software development engineer, you will develop scalable infrastructure that is used to ingest and parse external databases of product certifications and specifications so that our customers have a trustworthy online shopping experience. You will also work on developing a bidding platform where sellers and vendors can find the best accredited labs to certify that their products comply with various regulations and are safe for our customers.

The ideal candidate will be eager to work in a team of innovators and contribute to a suite of tools that power automated and scalable content processing with the end goal of providing Amazon shoppers and sellers with a frictionless shopping and selling experience. You will be working in an Agile mode, collaborating with product management and partner teams to iterate at a fast pace and delight our end users.

MENTORING/CAREER GROWTH

As a software engineer, you will continue learning, you will be involved in the hiring process, you will contribute to the development of your colleagues as a mentor and you will be an onboarding buddy for the new joiners. You will have access to our mentorship program where you can find a tenured Amazonian to guide you and to coach you in developing the areas you want to focus on. You will own your career development in partnership with the software development manager, and you will partner in finding the right balance between delivering results and proving you can operate at the next level.

Remember, you do not have to tick every box to apply for the role. If you are excited about joining us and think you have what we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
(1) designing, developing and maintaining micro-services hosted in AWS;
(2) adding new front-end features to existing tools;
(3) improving performance and operational costs;
(4) researching solutions for technically ambiguous problems;
(5) mentoring other engineers.
