About the Role:

If you are looking to join a small but expanding tax team dealing with various, complex Domestic and International tax laws (Direct, Indirect, Transfer Pricing, etc.), then the Senior Tax Associate/Experienced Tax Associate role at Alpha Sense is an exciting role, with a rapidly expanding SAAS company in the AI/Market Intelligence space. This role offers meaningful exposure to corporate income tax accounting and compliance within a fast-growing organization focused on continued domestic and international growth. Our ideal candidate is someone with a strong desire to add value, learn, and ask questions, and who is comfortable with a rapidly changing environment. We are looking for a dedicated teammate who enjoys working with technology, defining and refining processes, and supporting all levels of employees within a global organization. This role will report directly to the Senior Tax Manager and will be remote or hybrid, depending on experience, with occasional travel to meet with colleagues in Tax, Accounting and Finance.

Who You Are:

• Selfless, hardworking, and detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s Degree in Taxation and/or CPA preferred
• 1 to 3 years of corporate tax experience in public accounting firms (Big 4 preferred) and/or industry
• Technical knowledge of ASC 740 income tax accounting, U.S. income tax matters, and corporate and partnership income tax compliance for multinational companies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated history of process improvement and automation
• Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to ask “why,” and desire to learn
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experienced with Net Suite is preferred

What You'll Do:

• Prepare quarterly and annual global tax provision and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740
• Support the accurate and timely completion of U.S. federal, state, and foreign income tax compliance, prepared by external tax advisors
• Perform and document associated SOX controls for tax accounting and reporting
• Contribute to the success of Alpha Sense's transfer pricing process, including preparation of intercompany transactions
• Actively participating in projects that have a tax impact throughout their lifecycle from planning, research, modeling, including communication of tax implications to executive management
• Assist with special projects such as R&D Tax credit studies, mergers and acquisitions, other ad hoc projects
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and other business partners to gain a deep understanding of business operations and ensure accurate reflection of operational activities in tax reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal control enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy of provision and compliance workflows.
• Continuously build technical knowledge by researching tax laws, accounting standards, and emerging issues, applying learning to day-to-day provision and compliance responsibilities.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

Base Compensation Range:

$89,000—$127,000 USD
