Job Description

Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as a peer mentor having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

National General is seeking an Auto Claims Appraiser to join our** ​Washington** team! This role offers the opportunity to work directly with repair facilities and customers by completing on-site estimates and vehicle appraisals. To best support the territory, the ideal candidate will be based in Renton, Everett, Auburn or the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities

• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training

• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files

• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices

• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers

• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is:

Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49 – 37.50/hour

Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – 39.42/hour

Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82 – 45.58/hour

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
