With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.

The Opportunity

The Facilities Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience by supporting the Facilities team with critical projects related to equipment management, documentation, and process improvement. This role is an excellent opportunity to apply engineering principles in a real-world setting and develop a broad understanding of how a facility's physical plant and documentation systems are managed in a leading technology company.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in a site-wide initiative to identify, document, and apply asset tags to critical facility equipment.

  • Organize and digitize a large volume of existing engineering drawings and prints.

  • Systematically sort through and catalog hard-copy binders containing crucial equipment documentation and technical drawings.

  • Play a key role in designing and creating a centralized digital repository for all facilities-related documentation, including drawings, manuals, and maintenance records.

  • Work with the engineering team to establish a logical structure and naming convention for the repository to ensure easy access and long-term usability.

  • Shadow and support senior facilities engineers and technicians to understand the operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Assist in documenting existing equipment maintenance procedures and schedules.

  • Support project managers and superintendents with various tasks, which may include observing meetings, preparing reports, and helping to coordinate activities.

What You Will Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.

  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and prints.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for the documentation and repository aspects of this role.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A proactive and independent worker who can also collaborate effectively within a team environment.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
