The Opportunity
As a Technician at Allegro Micro Systems, you will play a vital role in ensuring our production equipment operates at peak performance. This position offers hands-on exposure to advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology, where your technical expertise directly impacts product quality and machine uptime. You will work within a collaborative team environment, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that drive innovation and efficiency in our global operations.
What You Will Do
- Execute Maintenance Excellence:
Perform daily and weekly machine setups, device changes, conversions, and qualifications (LM), alongside scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM).
- Ensure Tooling Precision:
Manage tooling maintenance, including preventive care for dies and internal fabrication (TND).
- Provide Technical Support:
Act as a key technical resource for the production line, troubleshooting machine performance issues and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Maintain Operational Safety:
Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols while maintaining a high standard of 5S across all work areas.
- Document & Improve:
Consistently log all repair activities, report issues affecting uptime, and contribute proactive ideas for continuous improvement and process optimization.
What You Will Bring
- Educational Foundation:
You are currently pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Engineering Technology, majoring in Electronics or Electromechanical Technology.
- Technical Knowledge:
A solid basic understanding of electronic circuits and test methodologies.
- Tool Proficiency:
Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal analyzers is highly regarded.
- Problem-Solving Mindset:
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
- Collaborative Spirit:
A proven ability to work effectively within a team and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient workspace.
