Frozen Food Supervisor

Position Summary
The Frozen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily frozen foods operations to ensure proper stocking, rotation, merchandising, and inventory control. This role leads frozen associates, maintains food safety and temperature standards, and ensures the department meets company expectations for freshness, availability, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily frozen department operations, including stocking, rotation, and display execution
• Ensure proper temperature control, product integrity, and food safety compliance at all times
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective ordering, receiving, and backstock management
• Ensure proper FIFO rotation, date checking, and removal of out‑of‑code products
• Lead and support frozen associates through training, coaching, and task delegation
• Maintain clean, organized freezers, sales floor, and backroom areas
• Support planogram execution, resets, and seasonal transitions
• Monitor shrink, damages, and spoilage; take corrective action as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product inquiries and availability
• Communicate department performance, staffing needs, and issues to store leadership
• Assist with department coverage and workload coordination as business needs require

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One or more years of frozen, grocery, or retail experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Knowledge of frozen food handling, rotation, and temperature standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in freezer environments
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
