The e Commerce Department has an opening for a Director of e Commerce, Division Operations. This position is in Phoenix, AZ.

Position Purpose

Albertsons seeks to offer customers an easy, exciting, and friendly ecommerce shopping experience, through the invention of personalized and localized digital experiences for our 34 million plus weekly customers.

The Director of e Commerce, Division Operations has accountability for taking the lead role for implementing new formats across the division that will offer Home Delivery, Drive Up and Go, and 3PL Third Party Logistic models. This role directly leads a regional team responsible to partner with division and corporate teams coordinating the set-up, ordering, and execution of initiatives across the division. This role will partner closely with division leadership to coordinate initiative implementation and rollout while ensuring KPI’s, productivity goals, and day to day operations are being met and exceeded to provide an exceptional customer experience.

This person will contribute with influencing the future of grocery ecommerce and establish Albertsons as an industry leader. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience in leading operational and strategic initiatives end-to-end and working with critical stakeholders while running multiple projects and or work-streams simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to take complex, ambitious topics and create compelling narratives for different audiences.
  • Own implementation for e Commerce initiatives across the division.
  • Build strong partnerships and influences across Corporate, Division leadership, Store Management, and Finance to optimize regional performance to meet sales and EBITDA targets, service level and financial goals while bringing a sense of urgency and prioritization to the e Commerce activities. This leader plays an important role in the implementation of growth initiatives, business model development and optimization in current Drive Up and Go and 3PL business applications.
  • Build a high productivity and world class service culture within the operations leadership and be a customer champion to enable a friction-less shopping experience by staying up to date with industry trends, seeking customer feedback
  • Traveling up to 70% of the work week across the division
  • Identify and lead opportunities for newly converted stores ensuring critical KPI’s are being met and or maintained.
  • Drive the adoption of key performance metrics for operations and service teams to identify levers for efficiency gains, productivity, and quality improvements.
  • Develop, coach, and retain high performing teams, by providing growth opportunities and building bench strength and skillsets for management positions

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience, MBA a plus.
  • 6+ years’ experience leading operations in large scale grocery, retail or CPG businesses, Multi-unit, District manager and / or retail operations experience preferred
  • Solid track record of building and leading teams. The ability to provide direction and guidance while holding teams accountable to high standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven expertise to influence people, process and technology in a manner that enriches the Company’s culture and overall team performance.
  • Ability to interpret KPIs, income statements, and financial reports and develop action plans to improve financial and operational metrics
  • Aptitude for strategic thinking and problem solving in a fluid environment.
  • Exceptional at prioritizing and focusing on the highest value opportunities.
  • Executive presence and mindset, with the ability to roll up sleeves when necessary.
  • Operational excellence mindset, numbers and solutions driven, tech savvy.
  • Ability to lead and manage competing priorities and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve complaints, inquiries, and operational errors.
  • Ability to motivate and lead large teams to successful results.
