Main responsibilities:

Are you a leader with a passion for food production?

The Production Manager leads the daily operations of the beverage production lines to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This individual will be responsible for managing production personnel, scheduling, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

This position is located in Richmond, CA.

Strategic Production Leadership:

  • Lead and coordinate daily food production activities with a focus on efficiency and quality.

  • Ensure the timely execution of production schedules to meet demand.

Team Culture:

  • Supervise and motivate production staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team.

  • Conduct training sessions to enhance skills and maintain a skilled workforce.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and monitor quality control measures to uphold product excellence.

  • Conduct regular inspections to guarantee adherence to food safety standards.

Operational Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to boost productivity.

  • Implement changes that enhance efficiency while maintaining product quality.

Resource Management:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to boost productivity.

Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce and promote a safety-first culture among production staff.

  • Conduct regular safety training and inspections to ensure a secure working environment.

Regulatory Compliance Expertise:

  • Stay informed about food safety regulations and ensure compliance.

  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections to maintain industry standards.

Budget Oversight:

  • Manage the production budget effectively, balancing cost considerations with operational needs.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Innovative Problem Solver:

  • Address production challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.

  • Encourage a proactive problem-solving approach within the production team.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality assurance, to streamline processes.

  • Foster open communication channels to address inter-departmental challenges.

Performance Excellence:

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge production performance.

  • Leverage data-driven insights to continuously enhance production processes.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment.

  • Two (2) or more years working with Lean Manufacturing principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong production background – the ability to turn data into action.

  • Ability to manage and develop employees.

  • Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.

  • Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
