Dairy Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Dairy Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Dairy Department to ensure product freshness, inventory accuracy, merchandising standards, and excellent customer service. This role supervises dairy associates, supports department goals, and ensures compliance with food safety and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Department Operations & Customer Service

• Supervise daily Dairy department activities, including stocking, rotation, and merchandising
• Ensure high standards of customer service and respond promptly to customer questions or concerns
• Maintain product quality, freshness, and proper date rotation (FIFO)

Supervision & Associate Support

• Supervise, train, coach, and support Dairy department associates
• Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and performance
• Reinforce company policies, safety practices, and work standards

Inventory & Ordering

• Assist with ordering dairy products and supplies to maintain proper inventory levels
• Receive and verify deliveries for accuracy, quality, and temperature compliance
• Monitor inventory to minimize shrink, out‑of‑stocks, and waste
• Participate in inventory counts as required

Merchandising & Sales

• Ensure dairy cases are stocked, faced, signed, and compliant with planograms
• Support execution of promotions, pricing changes, and seasonal programs
• Assist in achieving department sales, labor, and shrink goals

Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
• Monitor cooler temperatures and maintain required logs
• Ensure associates follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures

Operational & Store Support

• Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned
• Communicate department issues, needs, and opportunities to store leadership
• Support overall store operations as needed
