FROZEN MANAGER — DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDepartment Leadership & Operations

Lead daily operations of the Frozen Foods Department to ensure full shelves, proper rotation, and strong merchandising execution.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑faced department that meets all company presentation, freshness, and quality standards.

Monitor product conditions, pull distressed or unsellable items, and maintain accurate stock levels.
-
Ensure planogram compliance, ad set accuracy, and timely execution of promotional displays.
Customer Service
-
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, offering assistance, and responding to product inquiries.
-
Resolve customer issues professionally and promptly.
-
Foster a positive shopping experience within the department.
Inventory, Ordering & Merchandising
-
Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory control to maintain in‑stock conditions and minimize shrink.
-
Verify accuracy of deliveries, ensuring correct quantities, temperatures, and product conditions.
-
Implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and improve product visibility.
-
Maintain pricing accuracy and ensure all signage is current and properly displayed.
Compliance, Safety & Sanitation
Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, including:

Food safety and sanitation
-
Temperature logs and cold‑chain procedures
-
OSHA and workplace safety regulations
-
Shrink control and loss‑prevention procedures
-
Maintain a safe working environment by reporting hazards and enforcing safety protocols.
Team Leadership & Training

Train, coach, and guide Frozen Department associates on product handling, stocking standards, and customer service expectations.
-
Assign daily tasks and ensure timely completion of workloads.
-
Support performance management through coaching, accountability, and skill development.
Administrative Responsibilities
-
Assist with scheduling, labor planning, production planning, and department budgeting where applicable.

Communicate product needs, operational challenges, and performance updates to store leadership.
-
Complete department checklists and required documentation accurately and on time.
Other Responsibilities
-
Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards of honesty and integrity.
-
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Director or Assistant Store Director.
