This is an entry level position for the Business team. It maintains the same key responsibilities of the Business Manager role but manages fewer categories. -
Formulate ad writing recommendations on promotional items to maximize sales
-
Develop a Store Brand strategy in each category to meet United's distribution goals and profits related to our primary competitor

This would include local item assortment, merchandising strategies, local programs/promotions, schematics, section sizes by store, competitive retails, etc.
-
Build and maintain a strong business relationship with the Partner community, Center Store Supervisors, store teams, fellow Asst. Grocery Sales Managers, and the members of the National Category Management team.
-
Collaborate with the Replenishment team to ensure the item selection and product mix provides the best cost and maximum turns. In addition, they also need to communicate with the appropriate buyer in a timely manner, so they fully understand the expectation at any given time.
-
Act consistent with United policies and procedures
-
Visit retail locations (United and competition) to understand category trends and pricing, while also monitoring compliance on key merchandising initiatives and shelf conditions.
