Main responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service.

    • Train, supervise, schedule, and assign duties to GM/HBC stock clerks.

    • Maintain department cleanliness and organization.

    • Manage daily inventory, ordering, backroom organization, and documentation.

    • Resolve customer concerns related to products, pricing, or service.

    • Ensure shelves and displays are stocked, faced, priced, and free of expired items.

    • Secure and manage high‑dollar and sensitive products.

    • Follow division merchandising programs and complete recalls.

    • Adhere to federal, state, and local laws along with Safeway/Albertsons policies.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

    • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Leadership and staff supervision.

    • Operational and compliance consistency.

    • Attention to detail in merchandising and inventory processes.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of store layout, product categories, and pricing.

    • Familiarity with inventory procedures and ordering processes.

    • Awareness of store promotions and advertising.

    • Understanding of safety, operational policies, and regulatory requirements.

    • Abilities: Hiring team to provide details

    • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.

    • Ability to operate store equipment (e.g., baler, electrical equipment; must be 18+).

    • Ability to work varied shifts in a 24‑hour operation.

    • Physical abilities including:

  • Lifting 10–55 lbs frequently

  • Continuous standing, walking, and reaching

  • Frequent gripping/grasping
