Join Airtable as a Product Designer and help shape the future of our product experience. You'll drive the end-to-end design process across key product areas, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute on our product strategy. This is a unique opportunity to raise the bar on design quality, mentor and influence a team of designers, and deliver work that drives meaningful business impact as we scale.
What you'll do
- Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process, from discovery to delivery
- Drive the UX framework, design standards, and quality bar across your product area
- Deliver high-quality, detail-oriented designs that elevate the user experience and drive business outcomes
- Lead and influence other designers through collaboration, feedback, and mentorship, setting the standard for craft on the team
- Develop and champion scalable design patterns and frameworks that work across platforms
- Prototype and validate new ideas in close collaboration with engineering and research
- Contribute to the broader design team's culture, processes, and shared practices
Who you are
- 8+ years of product design experience, ideally at a SaaS company
- Portfolio showcasing thoughtful, impactful work and end-to-end user experiences
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with product management, engineering, and research partners
- Experience leading and mentoring other designers in a senior IC capacity — elevating the work of those around you
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate design concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Exceptional craft, attention to detail, and ability to deliver polished, high-quality designs
- Experience using AI-powered design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma Make, Claude Code, Cursor) to rapidly explore ideas, build functional prototypes, and bridge the gap between design and engineering
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex problem spaces

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location, relevant skills, and experience.

For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles, the base salary range for this role is:
$224,000—$317,200 USD

Newbie Gen VA - How do you support your clients better?
Hello. I'm a newbie GVA (transitioned from freelance writer) and it's my first time working for a client as a generalist/admin va. What does your production pipeline look like?
I'm trying to get a sense of how people actually get the work done from end to end and see if I can improve on my own process.
