Communications Manager
Job Description:
-
Act as strategic comms advisor with the business on a specific business area or topic or region and site and prepare and implement the relevant communication plans.
-
Make use of communication as short-, medium-, long-term strategic tool to consistently support the company strategy and the business objectives, to position the company and to move stakeholders' perception/understanding to desired perception/buy-in.

Deliver professional expertise in the conception, specification, organization, production/implementation, distribution and evaluation/archiving of content for all channels, tailored to messages to convey matched with audiences to reach.

Coordinate the preparation and execution of media engagements, employee engagement and transformation programmes.

Lead Project MFTs, as defined in the setup phase with the inclusion of the creative core and channels where required.

Ensures consistency in the messaging regarding divisional/ functional/ regional and site communication.

Act as communications focal point in crisis management
-
Handle Media Relations on daily basis, answer media enquiries, follow up media reports.

Lead Social media implementations

Define priorities, communications plans and key messages in line with business;

Develop and implement PR/communications plans - from strategy to tactics to execution. Identify, leverage and prioritize opportunities to provide value that garners exposure in the business, marketing, advertising and aviation industries - and beyond

Be responsible for the end-to-end communication process related to their Division/Business/global corporate topic.

Contribute to the promotion and protection of the Airbus brand and to the external positioning of its products, services, people and top management.

Articulate and scale thought leadership, defining issues and topics for engagement through media, digital interactions, co-marketing initiatives, offline events and exhibitions etc.

Write any kind of document for both internal and external use and for different platforms (print, digital, radio).

Engaging with external audiences by animating Airbus' external channels (media relations, Airbus.com, Airbus corporate social media accounts) in support of the Communications strategy.

Acting as Company spokesperson and ambassador via all relevant media or social media channels.

Identify the potential negative financial, political, legal and reputation impacts and how to plan the best responses to them. Dealing with any event that threatens to harm the organization and its stakeholders.

Providing audience- and business-related performance indicators to support decision-making, channel animation, planning and continuous improvement.

Key contributor to corporate key milestones

Positive feedback from external and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years in-house PR/communication/marketing experiences or 4A agency background are highly preferred
- University degree or above, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Aviation, Marketing or Journalism
- Native Chinese speaker and advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Aviation and media related experiences as a plus
- The Coachable, observable and measurable skills and competencies critical to the successful performance of the job
- The ideal candidate shall have solid skills and rich experiences in Media Relations, PR, crisis management and Digital communications.
- Understanding of market trends and how to turn data into compelling stories, messages and online and offline campaigns
- Ability to identify different types of emergency and crisis (e.g. Natural disaster, Major accident, Technological crisis, Terrorist or Cyber attack…) and knows methods to identify any vulnerabilities of the organization.
- Exceptional skills in project management, overall handling integrated projects as project leader
- Strong story development skills, with an keen eye for details and ability to drive stories with compelling visuals and messaging
- Expertise managing agencies and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive terrific results, ensuring messages are conveyed effectively and consistently across channels.
- He or she thrives in a dynamic environment, is creative, data-driven, and an independent self-starter, while knowing how to orchestrate initiatives between different teams and their goals.
As a member of Communications Department, the jobholder directly reports to HO Communications & Public Relations, Airbus China.
The jobholder acts as team lead of social media team within the Communications Department.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
