In order to support the C&C DMU & Extended Reality (XR) Services team,**Airbus **is looking for a Digitalization & Computer Graphics Engineer (d/f/m) situated in Hamburg at the earliest possible starting date.
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of Multi-ATA Virtual & Augmented Reality studies and scenes, including the required 3D data for investigations across all-Programs Linefit and Customer Service. By joining this innovative team, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering data and cutting-edge visualization to support next-generation aircraft design.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
-
Coordinate and execute all C&C Extended Reality (XR) activities for Next Generation Aircraft, including integration and project management of deliverables.
-
Perform advanced 3D data preparation and retrieval from CAD programs using tools like Dassault Deltagen, including UV-mapping, material creation, and exposure/rendering.

Develop and visualize immersive scenes in VR/AR software such as Unity, Unreal, or the 3DExperience Platform, including asset creation and animations.

Manage XR studies for installability and maintainability tests, providing technical demonstrations for both internal and external stakeholders.

Create high-end visual content, including photorealistic renderings for strategic sales and marketing campaigns.

Drive digitalization and automation by using data analytics and machine learning to improve the efficiency of the customization process.

Standardize working methods within the VR/AR context by analyzing customer requirements and initiating continuous improvement initiatives.

Utilize scanning technologies (e.g., Xrite Tac7, Deltascan) to digitize physical materials for high-fidelity visualization.
Desired skills and qualifications

Degree in Media and Computer Science, Architecture, or a comparable qualification in Media Technology.

Several years of professional experience in CAD visualization and VR/AR tools such as Autodesk 3DS Max, Unity, and 3DExcite Delta Gen.

Profound knowledge of visualization software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and compositing tools like Blackmagic Fusion or Nuke.

Strong expertise in XR applications for Cabin & Cargo activities, with a focus on high-quality renderings for marketing and sales.

Strategic mindset with high tolerance for changing requirements and the ability to work independently and proactively.

Excellent communication and influence skills to lead stakeholders and collaborate effectively in an international team environment.

Language Skills: Negotiation level in English and intermediate level in German.
