About the Role

You will join the Information Management department responsible for Digital applications supporting Airbus Helicopters processes for Spares, MRO and Training. You'll support our team of project and product managers to install, optimize and run their home-made or COTS applications on all IT operations required. In a context of high service usage, you will be the guarantor of the stability, performance, and operability of our solutions. You will play a pivotal role between our internal team, our managed service providers (MSPs), and our users to ensure service excellence.

Your Challenges

As an IT operational reference, your responsibilities are structured around four major pillars:

1. Run & Support Steering (Incident & Problem Management)

  • Secure the daily "IT Run" operations: supervision of incidents, steering of technical support (Level 2/3), and coordination of resolutions
  • Manage actions for mitigation in case of non-fulfillment in agreement with the product manager
  • Act as the primary point of contact for our managed service providers: steering operations, validating changes (Change Management), and monitoring interventions: most IT activities (backup, software installation, network connectivity …) are done by dedicated teams
  • Guarantee compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding business stakeholders

2. Technical Management & Maintenance in Operational Condition (MCO)

  • Manage the technical lifecycle of products: monitoring obsolescence (OS, Middleware, DB) and managing version upgrades
  • Manage and keep up-to-date security certificates and service accounts
  • Participate in database optimization operations and routine server administration

3. Processes, Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • As main IT support of the application owner, help him/her to audit the current organization, identify bottlenecks, and propose continuous improvement plans
  • Implement and monitor Performance KPIs: MTTR (Mean Time To Recovery), SLA compliance, incident volume, platform availability
  • Ability to foresee technical challenges and proactively propose solutions
  • Lead follow-up committees (internal and external) and produce activity reporting

4. Knowledge Management

  • Ensure constant updating of technical and architecture documentation
  • Maintain the Knowledge Base to facilitate autonomy for Level 1/Level 2 support
  • Keep product repositories (CMDB) and service contracts up to date

Competences, Methods & Tools

To succeed in this role, you must master or be familiar with the following environment:

Technical Expertise

  • ITSM / Ticketing: Expertise in Service Now (Incident management, Change management, CMDB)
  • System & Infrastructure: Basic knowledge of administration of Windows or other OS Server, understanding of virtualized environments
  • Databases: Ability to manage routine operations and optimization (SQL Server or equivalent)
  • Network & Security: Broad knowledge of infrastructure concepts (Active Directory, Load balancing F5, Firewall rule management)
  • Collaborative Tools: Mastery of the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence) for project management and documentation

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple topics simultaneously
  • Rigorous, autonomous, good team spirit and customer orientation
  • Advanced level in English to interact in an international company
  • French language would be a plus

Required Skills & Experience

  • You have significant experience (3 to 5 years minimum) in a similar position (Ops, Production Engineer, Technical Service Delivery Manager)
  • Analytical Mindset: You can quickly diagnose complex situations and prioritize emergencies
  • Communication: You are comfortable interacting with infrastructure technicians as well as business stakeholders or external providers
  • Rigor & Method: You are organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong culture of documentation and process (ITIL certification is a plus)
