Job Description:
TITLE: MAP Engineering Aircraft ManagerEMPLOYER: Airbus Americas, Inc.LOCATION: Mobile, ALDUTIES:
Supporting the MAP Engineering Managers in producing and coordinating MAP Team
priorities. Planning and prioritization of work items, ensuring visibility of status is
maintained in reporting tools. Acting as the MAP interface with several FAL Organization
including MAP Management community, screening the points under MAP responsibilities
and informing the relevant function leader within the MAP team. Providing and justifying
appropriate priority of each investigation for the MAP Engineering core team(s) and
providing Engineering deliverable in the expected and needed time frame. Performing
KPI reporting to MAP Manager in accordance with SLA and Industrial Planning, identifying
and supporting the MAP manager(s) in implementing improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field and 2 years in any job title involving
experience working with aerospace manufacturing processes. In lieu of degree as stated,
employer will accept 2 additional years in any job title involving experience working with
aerospace manufacturing processes. Prior experience must also include the following:
Analyzing, modifying and reworking aircraft structures in accordance with design
solutions; Designing electrical systems and mechanical systems for Cabin installation,
analyzing and reworking in accordance with design solutions or supplier solutions;
Applying electrical, mechanical, structural and Cabin/Cargo installation design principles
from complex aircraft modifications to new aircraft programs; Working with partners and
applying rework solutions from suppliers on aircraft materials and standards, including
electrical bonding and corrosion protection in aerospace applications; Coordinating and
overseeing aerospace engineering activities; Managing all design changes, production
deviations, and customer surveillance-related issues; Ensuring project alignment and
resolving technical issues for supplier integration; Working with G-Suite applications,
including sheets, slides, and sites; and Working with Business and IT tools including, SAP,
configuration management, and Digital Mock-Up.
