Description Digital within Airbus is a Transnational Organisation mirroring the Industrial landscape. Digital is currently undergoing a major transformation programme focussing on Product and Technology Service teams with an end-to-end (E2E) accountability and full responsibility for the value proposition.As SAP FICO Functional Architect for S4 Transformation, the candidate should have extensive S/4HANA experience. This role will act as the key liaison between the finance business and the IT development team. You will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional solutions within the S/4HANA platform, utilizing the SAP Activate methodology to drive finance transformation..Qualifications:

Graduate in an area such as information technology, applied mathematics, engineering,

7+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Business Analyst or Consultant.

Proven, multi-project experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (Central Finance or greenfield/brownfield implementations).

Deep, practical experience using the SAP Activate methodology for S/4HANA implementations.
-
Expert-level configuration skills across all core SAP FICO modules.
-
Strong understanding of the integration points between FICO and other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM).
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
A background in finance or accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly beneficial.
-
SAP S/4HANA FICO certification is preferred.

Excellent communication skills as required to engage customers on requirements and delivery

Working experience in Scrum Computing and an Agile environment

Define best match between needs and existing solutions & technologies

Lead and facilitate SAP Activate methodology workshops (e.g., Fit-to-Standard analysis) in the Explore phase to gather and document business requirements.

Analyze complex "As-Is" and "To-Be" finance processes and identify opportunities for simplification and standardization within SAP S/4HANA.
-
Configure SAP FICO modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, etc.) to meet business needs.

Author detailed functional specification documents for custom developments (RICEFW).
-
Collaborate with technical teams to design and test integrations, enhancements, and reports.
-
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (unit, integration, and UAT).
-
Act as the FICO subject matter expert (SME) for the project team, providing guidance and troubleshooting complex issues.
-
Support change management, end-user training, and post-go-live activities.
-
Ensure clear and timely communication with all project stakeholders, from team members to senior leadership.
-
Contribute hands-on to project problem-solving and strategic decisions when required.
-
Understand data business processes and technical architecture of Airbus SAP landscape
-
Conducts in-depth discovery meetings, targeted at understanding, capturing, and identifying the complex business requirements and operational objectives of the customer, with recommendations on automation.

Identify areas for improvement in business processes providing possible IT solutions compliant with the IT strategy.
-
Supports the IT Product Manager in the Product/Service Planning based on the customer requirements.
-
Produces documentation of current challenges, future requirements, and benefits in a manner appropriate for the customer.

Defines and develop the required specification documents to be reviewed with stakeholders and Product team members.

Monitors external business trends in order to better challenge the business requirements.
