Job Description:
MISSION
Reporting to the Airbus Chief Representative in Indonesia, the Senior Government and Military Affairs is responsible for aligning Airbus’ strategic objectives with Indonesia’s national policy and security framework. The candidate provides high-level advisory and facilitates access to key decision-makers across the State’s architecture. The role requires a sophisticated balance between monitoring regulatory developments and maintaining institutional relationships at the highest levels of the Government and the Armed Forces.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Advisory: Provide actionable intelligence on the political-military ecosystem and the government's cultural priorities to ensure the effective execution of the country strategy.

Executive & Ministerial Liaison: Maintain professional relationships with the Executive Office of the President (Istana Negara) and key civil bodies, including the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), BKPM, and the Ministry of Transportation (DGCA).

Defense Sector Engagement: Coordinate institutional dialogue with the Ministry of Defense (MoD), the KKIP (Defense Industry Policy Committee), and the high command of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) across its three branches: Army (TNI-AD), Navy (TNI-AL), and Air Force (TNI-AU).

Extended Institutional Network: Proactively leverage and develop access to other relevant ministries and government institutions (such as Finance, Industry, or Research) to support cross-sectoral initiatives.

Diplomatic & International Scope: Interface with Indonesian Embassies abroad to ensure consistency in the company’s institutional positioning and support for national strategic interests.

Regulatory Analysis: Monitor and analyze laws, decrees, and policies to assess their impact on aerospace and defense operations, delivering clear strategic recommendations.

Reporting & Briefing: Prepare reports, talking points, and briefings for high-level forums, ensuring the company is positioned as a trusted partner.

Risk & Governance: Advise on maintaining the company’s reputation and ensure all institutional activities strictly adhere to global compliance and local governance standards.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Professional Background: Over 15 years of senior-level experience in the defense forces, government service, or international strategic affairs.

Proven Access: Verifiable network within the highest echelons of the Presidential Office, the Ministry of Defense, and the Senior Command of the TNI (all three branches). Previous experience or established connections in other key government agencies is highly welcomed.

Institutional Protocol: Mastery of the formal protocols and cultural nuances required for engagement with high-ranking military officers and state officials.

Analytical Precision: Ability to synthesize complex information from diverse governmental and military sources into actionable strategy.

Independence & Composure: Proven track record of managing sensitive institutional scenarios and delivering results within an international corporate environment.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Strategic Intelligence: Capacity to gather and analyze intelligence on the positioning of institutions, partners, and competitors.

Stakeholder Credibility: Established authority to build trust-based relationships with key executives and government leaders.

Reasoned Advocacy: Ability to use technical knowledge and diplomatic influence to represent organizational interests and gain buy-in for complex projects.
LANGUANGE & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Communication: Native-level Bahasa Indonesia (formal/diplomatic) is a must and fluent English.

Local Context Adaptation: This strategic role requires Indonesian nationality to ensure seamless compliance with local regulatory protocols for high-level engagement with the Indonesian Government and Military.

Influence & Persuade: Use evidence-based advocacy to gain buy-in from high-level stakeholders in the country.

Build Trust: Establish deep, empathetic relationships within the Indonesian government and defense sectors (TNI / Kementerian Pertahanan).

Navigate Complexity: Manage high-stakes conflicts with composure while bridging the gap between local nuances and Airbus global corporate standards.
