Intern within Finance (d/f/m)

At the heart of all Airbus aircraft are aerostructures – the major assembly elements that come together in creating their airframes, including fuselage sections, wing components and flight control surfaces, along with fairings, doors and bulkheads. Airbus Aerostructures consists of 7 sites in Germany and Romania with more than 19’000 employees and produces more than 6B€ revenues.

Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
-
Prepare and develop detailed description of Financial processes within the Finance organization
-
Collect data and develop standard operative procedures (SOP) using this role as a starting basis
-
Interview and map down processes and tasks
-
Coordinate with the appropriate colleague the regional monthly reporting, OP and forecast compilation, monthly OP, budget preparation, cost base queries
-
Ad Hoc Requirements: 25%
-
Participate as required in meetings and reviews and other duties as assigned
-
Ensure appropriate data retention is maintained and accessibility is communicated
-
Prepare ad hoc reporting and perform information gathering as requested by VPs, Finance Managers, Costing/Pricing team, and other internal management and customers.

Develop ad-hoc queries for reporting and data visualization
Desired skills and qualifications
Education:
-
Required: Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
-
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience
Experience:
-
Required: Evidence of Completion of Project from planning, data research, and preparation with on time submittal within team environment.

Preferred: Previous experience in finance or accounting
Licensure/Certifications:
-
Required: Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience

Preferred: Bachelor’s
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Required: Must be a team player capable of managing multiple simultaneous tasks with potentially overlapping deadlines.
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Required: Excellent German and English Written and Oral communication skills

Preferred: Written and Oral proficiency in technical French and/or Spanish.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
-
Required: Operator level proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite (i.e. sheets etc.)

Preferred: Advanced level proficiency in MS Office 2010/2016 applications, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, Share Point, MS Outlook. Advanced level proficiency in Google Suite. (Documents, Sheets, drive, etc)
