About the role
Sales Manager, Italy How you will create an impact
This role will generate revenue/profit margin selling AIG insurance, services, or products directly to consumers, organizations, or third parties including brokers, agents, or other distribution channels.
It’s expected that the execution of the above activities will be managed mainly on the field, by visiting partners and meeting clients in all Italian geography. This in order to manage and increase the assigned portfolio and/or perform training activities on the products.
The responsibilities for this role include: Marketing – targeting - clustering
- Sell AIG insurance, services, or products and being responsible for activities associated with making sales including identifying viable customers, prospecting, conducting research/analysis related to sales, creating/tailoring solutions to meet customer needs, developing proposals, presenting/pitching, closing deals, and providing assistance during initial start-up of new accounts developing and expanding account relationships and refer them to the direct manager
- Identify agents and brokers with additional profit potential and develop action plans to expand those relationships or conversely identify brokers and agents with limited value to decide consequent actions
- Generate program growth ideas to ensure sales opportunities are being maximized while results meet target loss ratio.
Intermediaries relationship & servicing
- Work in conjunction with other departments i.e. underwriting, claims, marketing, operation/customer service centers, IT, actuarial, & sr mgmt to ensure Co. & customer goals are being met (or exceeded) by ensuring efforts/activities are compliant & consistent with AIG standards, procedures, & policies. Assists on sales projects & initiatives & works
- Ensure client service team understanding of client needs, service delivery methods, and the economic framework relevant to services delivered.
- Develop partnerships with accounts, reviews and assesses account performance, identifies areas to improve accounts, and provides training/overall assistance to accounts in an effort to meet and/or exceeded Company and customer goals/objectives.
- Meet with current brokers to value their cluster and evolution possibilities
- Organize – where it’s necessary – training courses
Monitoring and Reporting
- Measure and monitor all the performances against various criteria (e.g. loss ratio, GPW cash flow, commercial performance, ratio analysis, RAAP)
- Complete all visit /contact activity documentation to provide a record for performance tracking and assist in targeting future sales effort
- Ensure that data entry and reporting per clients and broker are created in a timely and accurate fashion for the quarterly review process
Accountabilities for the role
- 50 % - Sell AIG insurance, services, or products and is responsible for activities associated with making sales including identifying viable customers, prospecting, conducting research/analysis related to sales, creating/tailoring solutions to meet customer needs, developing proposals, presenting/pitching, closing deals, and providing assistance during initial start-up of new accounts.

What you’ll need to succeed
broad knowledge of insurance products and financial analysis
high school or University degree
excellent communication and presentation skills
proved experience in sales (insurance or other services)
good level of English and fluent in Italian
ability to manage, prioritize and meet deadlines without constant supervision
specific experience in intermediaries management
goal driven mindset
