AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Marine, Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. How you will create an impact

You will evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business within various marine lines products, including but not limited to Cargo, Stockthroughput, Project Cargo, Property Floater and FFL.

You are expected to thoroughly analyze risk exposures, loss histories, and technical data to determine appropriate terms, conditions, and competitive pricing.

You will build and maintain strong partnerships with brokers and clients, providing high-quality service and conducting product presentations.

You must ensure all underwriting actions strictly adhere to company guidelines, authority levels, and regulatory requirements.

Clearly articulate underwriting decisions, policy terms, and rationale to stakeholders.

Proactively monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of accounts to meet profit targets.

Partner with Claims and other internal departments to optimize risk management and loss ratios.

Maintain meticulous and complete underwriting files.

Support the Head of Marine with team procedures, operational process and ad-hoc business projects.
What you’ll need to succeed

Bachelor's degree holder with prior experience on Marine Insurance would be a plus as you will be performing evaluation and underwriting work covering various Marine Lines products.

It will help also if you have good understanding of basic insurance principles, particularly non-life insurance.

Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

A team player and demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.

Resourceful with strong analytical skills, paying close attention to accuracy of details.

Cultivates a culture of openness and integrity and can quickly adjust strategies to meet evolving business needs.
