About the role

Make your mark in Data Management & Governance
As a world leader in commercial and personal insurance solutions operating in over 70 countries and jurisdictions, AIG’s Global Business Operations & IT team identifies and drives high-quality innovation and cost efficiency in all our processes, systems and operations. The organization ensures we operate as one globally consistent business delivering end-to-end services locally that contribute to our customers’ and AIG’s success.
We are seeking a Data Access Manager to advance our data access controls strategy to enable a more automated, and metadata driven control framework.

How you will create an impact
We are seeking a Data Access Manager to join our Data Governance team and play a hands-on role in operationalizing data access controls across our global data warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of data access policies and related metadata within Informatica Cloud Data Access Management (CDAM), part of the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform.
You will partner closely with our Data Governance, Privacy, and Information Security Office (ISO) teams to translate enterprise policies into codified, enforceable access controls, and work with IT, DBA, and platform engineering teams to ensure those controls are correctly deployed and monitored.

Key Responsibilities Policy Implementation & Administration

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain data access policies, rules, and related metadata in Informatica CDAM, including access control policies, masking, tokenization, encryption, hashing, and other privacy-preserving transformations (e.g., generalization, substitution, k-anonymity).
  • Work with Data Governance, Privacy, and ISO stakeholders to codify written policies into logical, metadata-driven CDAM rules that can be consistently enforced across the global data warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate classifications, tags, and policy bindings, leveraging Informatica's CLAIRE AI engine and Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) outputs to keep sensitive data identification (PII, financial, health, etc.) current.
  • Technical Oversight & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Coordinate with IT, DBA, and platform teams to oversee the technical implementation of CDAM capabilities, including policy pushdown to underlying data platforms
  • Support troubleshooting of access issues, policy conflicts, and connector configuration in partnership with engineering teams.
  • • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for access-related questions from data stewards, data owners, and consumers.

Reporting, Evidence & Compliance

  • Produce regular reports and audit evidence demonstrating policy coverage, enforcement, and exceptions to support internal audits, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX), and ISO/Privacy reviews.
  • Monitor CDAM logs and dashboards to identify gaps, anomalies, or opportunities for control improvement.
  • Maintain documentation of policies, procedures, and operational runbooks.

Automation & Marketplace Integration

  • Help define and implement more advanced and automated access orchestration patterns, including integration with Informatica Cloud Data Marketplace (CDMP) to enable governed self-service "shop-for-data" experiences.
  • Contribute to the roadmap for expanding policy pushdown coverage, automating provisioning workflows, and reducing manual access request handling.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in data governance, data management, data privacy, IAM, or a related data/analytics function (internships and co-ops count).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational data warehouse concepts.
  • Familiarity with data governance fundamentals: data classification, lineage, metadata management, and role-based access control (RBAC) / attribute-based access control (ABAC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between policy language and technical implementation.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on exposure to Informatica IDMC, CDAM, CDGC, Cloud Data Marketplace, or the legacy Privitar platform.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and security frameworks.
  • Familiarity with masking and de-identification techniques (tokenization, hashing, k-anonymity, differential privacy concepts).
  • Coursework or certifications such as CDMP, CIPP/CIPT, or Informatica IDMC credentials.
  • Exposure to Python or scripting for automation and reporting.
