Job Description

Electronics & PCBA Failure Analysis:

  • Perform failure analysis on failed PCBAs and electronic, electromechanical components returned from production or test.
  • Troubleshoot electronics issues using schematics, test data, logs, and measurement tools.
  • Identify systematic vs random failures and recommend corrective actions to reduce scrap and rework.
  • Support containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for electronics-related issues.
  • Analyze electronics failure trends at instrument and sub-assembly level and propose improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis.
  • Work with Quality, Production, and R&D to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Test Engineering & Software Support:

  • Support and improve electronics test systems (functional test, system test, diagnostics).
  • Develop or modify test software, scripts, or configurations to improve fault detection and debug capability.
  • Improve test coverage, test limits, and diagnostic effectiveness to reduce false failures and escapes.
  • Support test correlation and test robustness activities.

Schematic Review & Design Support:

  • Read, interpret, and review electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting.
  • Provide feedback to R&D on design weaknesses, test gaps, or field failure learnings.
  • Support basic schematic updates or test-point recommendations where applicable.

Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Support:

  • Provide hands-on electronics support on the production floor.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D, and Supplier Engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Support audits and documentation related to electronics manufacturing under ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting electronics in instrument, medical device, or precision equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot PCBAs using schematics and test data.
  • Experience with electronics failure analysis and root cause methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of electronics test software development or scripting (e.g. LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation (WI, FA reports, corrective action records).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 is an advantage.
  • Data-driven mindset with practical experience in scrap, yield, and trend analysis.
  • Strong technical communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on, disciplined, and problem-solving oriented.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
