Job Description:

Performs required annual inspections for fire doors to ensure compliance with safety standards. Repairs and services "panic hardware" on doors to ensure proper functionality. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems related to door hardware. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance requests in a timely manner. Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Ensures records comply with healthcare, federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, and alarm systems as needed. Other duties as assigned. Installs, repairs, and services locks and related door hardware. Cuts new and duplicate keys from existing keys, patterns, or codes. Opens locks for which there is no key or existing combination. Maintains shop master key boxes for authorized personnel access.

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field Required

• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies Required
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner Required
• Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches Required
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form Required
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Required
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist Required
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes Required
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment Required
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills Required

Education:

• High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience Required

Field of Study:

• or Equiv

Work Experience:

• 3+ healthcare maintenance Preferred
• 3+ commercial experience Preferred
• 2+ healthcare experience Preferred
