The Sales Transformation Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in orchestrating how sales transformation initiatives are evaluated, prioritized, governed, and communicated across the organization. This role ensures initiative intake is structured, data is accurate, progress is visible, and leadership has the insights needed to make informed decisions. The Portfolio Manager helps establish the operating rhythm, frameworks, and standards that enable the Sales Transformation Office to run effectively and scale as the portfolio grows.
This individual acts as the connective tissue across strategic programs, business leaders, and cross functional partners. They own the portfolio operating model, ensure data-driven decision-making, and provide transparency into initiative performance, value delivery, and risk areas. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong analytical, operational, and organizational experience with the ability to create clarity, structure, and insight in fast-moving environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Intake, Prioritization, and Planning
- Manage the intake process for new sales transformation initiatives, ensuring clear scope, business case, and alignment to strategic objectives.
- Develop and manage prioritization frameworks to determine sequencing, dependencies, and resource considerations across the portfolio.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date source of truth portfolio view, capturing progress, risks, interdependencies, and value delivery.
- Partner with leaders across sales, marketing, finance, operations, and product to ensure initiatives are properly defined and positioned for success.
Data Management and Insights
- Own initiative data quality across systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Create standard data structures, definitions, and reporting guidelines for use across the Transformation Office.
- Define and maintain portfolio-level KPIs, value realization measures, and reporting logic.
Executive Dashboarding and Visibility
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards that provide a clear view into progress, risks, trends, value delivery, and overall portfolio health.
- Translate complex program data into meaningful insights for executive audiences.
- Provide timely reporting to leadership, enabling informed decisions and proactive interventions.
Governance and Operating Rhythm
- Establish and manage the governance framework used to monitor progress, escalate risks, and ensure accountability across initiatives.
- Lead cross portfolio forums, including leadership reviews, operating cadences, and decision-making sessions.
- Maintain consistent operating rhythms, guiding the organization through structured, predictable, and transparent review cycles.
Frameworks, Standards, and Tooling
- Own the Transformation Office’s portfolio and program delivery standards, frameworks, templates, and methodologies.
- Define and enforce consistent practices across initiative planning, reporting, and status management.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage tooling to support portfolio management, reporting, and collaboration.
- Partner with program leaders to ensure adoption and consistent application of standards and tools.
Cross Functional Partnership and Enablement
- Partner closely with program managers and business leaders to maintain high-quality plans, data, and reporting.
- Support initiative teams in following the Transformation Office framework and best practices.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and operational excellence across the transformation ecosystem.
Qualifications:
Required
- 8–12 years of experience in portfolio management, PMO operations, transformation support, or strategic program management.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional portfolios and creating prioritization or governance models.
- Strong analytical skills with experience designing dashboards and communicating insights to executive audiences.
- Ability to design and operationalize frameworks, standards, and scalable processes.
- Demonstrated success bringing structure, clarity, and organization to complex, ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
Preferred
- Experience within a Transformation Office, Enterprise PMO, or Strategy/Operations team.
- Background supporting sales, go-to-market, or revenue-driving initiatives.
- Familiarity with portfolio management or BI tools such as Smartsheet, Workfront, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or consulting environments.

By owning intake, prioritization, governance, and portfolio visibility, the Portfolio Lead/Manager ensures the organization invests in the right initiatives and delivers measurable outcomes. This role provides the insights, structure, and operational discipline that empower leadership to make high-quality decisions and accelerate transformation across the business.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $135,400 -- $264,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $182,900 - $264,800
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
