Role Overview:
The Portfolio Manager plays a strategic and operational role within Adobe Consulting, overseeing a portfolio of customer engagements to ensure successful delivery, customer satisfaction, revenue optimization, and resource alignment. The role acts as the single point of contact for customers and orchestrates cross‑functional collaboration across Delivery Managers, RMO, PSS, CSM, TAM, Engineering, and Consulting Leadership.
This position directly contributes to improving backlog health, utilization, book‑to‑bill, margin, and long‑term customer value. Portfolio Manager | SharePoint
- Key Responsibilities1.
Customer & Engagement Management:

Lead project initiation, planning, staffing, execution, and closure across your portfolio.

Serve as the primary customer interface for Consulting delivery.

Re‑engage stale projects, ensure timely reporting for active engagements, and align stakeholders across Support, ADLS (Training), PM, Product Marketing, and Engineering.

Portfolio & Delivery Governance:

Maintain an accurate consulting backlog and improve overall visibility to Delivery Managers.

Track and report progress across engagements; drive predictable outcomes and mitigate risks.

Strengthen revenue linearity, book‑to‑bill ratio, and utilization across the portfolio.

Resource & Capacity Planning:

Forecast resource needs and anticipate demand for specialized Adobe experts.

Partner with RMO on staffing decisions, requests, assignments, and onboarding.

Ensure resource schedules and hours are up to date within DPO Planner.

Financial & Operational Excellence:

Drive margin improvements through optimized staffing and project planning.

Identify upsell and follow‑on engagement opportunities in partnership with PSS and Account Teams.

Support leadership with delivery dashboards, risk logs, escalations, and customer roadmap discussions.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

Engage with Consultants for delivery updates, risks, and project changes.

Partner closely with CSM and TAM teams to align on customer success outcomes.

Collaborate with Delivery Leaders and cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality execution aligned with Adobe Consulting best practices.

Required Qualifications Experience

Typically 10+ years of experience in Program/Portfolio/Project Management roles.

Demonstrated experience managing multi‑million‑dollar digital transformation programs.

Background in Adobe Experience Cloud–based engagements strongly preferred.

Technical Skills
-
Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products and delivery methodologies.

Understanding of resourcing models (onshore/offshore), backlog management, and delivery KPIs.

Strong analytical capability to interpret metrics and drive data‑informed decisions.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

Ability to influence multiple cross‑functional teams and manage complex stakeholder expectations.

Excellent communication skills with senior executives and technical teams.

Strong problem‑solving, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
