Join our team at Adobe, where creativity and innovation blend with collaboration, and legal minds lead the way in shaping the future. Seeking an Associate Legal Counsel who is sharp, savvy, and prepared to excel in our dynamic team.

We are looking for a recently qualified or early-career lawyer (0–2 years PQE) admitted to the Bar Association, eager to build their in-house career and make a meaningful contribution to our operations within the Central (Eastern Europe) and Iberia (Spain and Portugal) regions. You will be supported and mentored by the Managing Counsel and the wider legal team as you develop your in-house expertise.

Why Join Us?

  • A Legal Team Like No Other: Supportive, encouraging, and—above all—friendly. We lift each other up, share knowledge freely, and always find time to celebrate wins (big or small).
  • Diversity & Inclusion: We champion every voice, celebrate every background, and believe that brilliant ideas come from everywhere.
  • Work/Life Balance: We know life is more than work. Flexible schedules and hybrid options are here to keep you energized.
  • Competitive Salary & Benefits: A comprehensive compensation package intended to support and reward employees.
  • Growth & Opportunity: Adobe is rapidly growing, and so can you. Structured mentoring and a clear development path are built into this role. Get involved in crafting new systems (think: AI chatbots, CLM, knowledge sharing, automation) and work processes.

The challenge

Build your in-house legal career by supporting our dynamic sales team and working alongside colleagues in marketing, finance, procurement, and beyond. Under the guidance of our Managing Counsel, you will develop into a trusted legal partner for the Central and Iberia Regions.

What You’ll Do

  • Draft, Review & Negotiate: Work and negotiate on a variety of agreements—license, professional services, consulting, statements of work, resale, distribution, sales, and licensing. You’ll keep us covered and keep deals moving.
  • Commercial Legal Support: Partner with our business units, providing timely, commercial advice and delivering in-house training on the legal topics that matter most. Help demystify law for your colleagues!
  • Compliance Monitor: Monitor and flag relevant regulatory and legal developments — particularly in technology, AI, intellectual property, and data privacy — and support senior counsel in analysing their impact on Adobe.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Dive into knowledge management and help evolve our legal processes. Lead departmental projects that make us better, smarter, and faster.
  • Embrace Legal Technology: Use AI-assisted tools for contract analysis, research, and document drafting as part of your day-to-day workflow. Develop hands-on fluency in the technologies that are reshaping how legal services are delivered — no prior experience required, just a genuine curiosity about what’s coming next.
  • Project Legal Support: Join working groups as new projects and business practices are developed, bringing your legal and business perspective where it’s needed most.
  • Ongoing Training & Risk Management: Carry out internal training sessions, and offer continuous support on key risks—building a culture of compliance and confidence.

What you need to succeed

  • Qualified Lawyer: Admitted to the Bar Association with 0–2 years PQE. In-house or law firm experience is welcome; we are equally open to recently qualified candidates who are the right fit.
  • Commercial/IT/IP Interest: You have foundational knowledge or a strong interest in commercial, technology, or IP law — gained through studies, internships, or early practice. You have an appetite to deepen your understanding of the complexities of software, technology, and data protection in a fast-moving tech company.
  • Business and Risk Savvy: You see the bigger picture and understand how legal matters fit into business objectives, assess, and manage risks across multiple matters at once.
  • Communication Skills: You have strong drafting ability and good attention to detail, and you can translate complex legalese into everyday plain language.
  • Languages: Proficient in English and Romanian (required). Spanish or Portuguese is a genuine advantage given the Iberia scope of the role.
  • Flexible & Adaptable: You’re quick on your feet, ready to adjust when the business demands change.

What Makes This Role Fun & Cool?

  • Build the Future: Play a key role in Adobe’s evolution, especially in this fast-paced tech and AI culture.
  • Tech Meets Law: Dive into brand new systems and technology incorporating AI, CLM, and automation—assist us in scaling smarter!
  • Room to Grow: Take on new challenges, lead projects, collaborate with a distributed team, and develop your own expertise as Adobe expands.
  • Fun Perks: Celebrations, creativity challenges, and team-building events—plus some of the best colleagues in the business.
