Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Azure Engineer with hands-on expertise in Azure PaaS services and a strong foundation in Java programming. The role will focus on designing, developing, deploying, and supporting microservices and event-driven applications on Azure. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in Java/Spring Boot development, and the ability to implement and optimize solutions using Azure services for integration, messaging, observability, and resilience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy Java-based microservices (Spring Boot) in Azure App Service, Azure Spring Apps, and AKS.
Implement event-driven integrations using Azure Service Bus (queues, topics), Event Hubs, and Event Grid.
Create and manage workflows using Azure Logic Apps and serverless functions with Azure Functions.
Configure and expose APIs through Azure API Management (APIM).
Work with Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and Cosmos DB for application persistence.
Implement data storage and messaging patterns using Azure Blob Storage, File Storage, Queues, and Tables.
Set up monitoring, logging, and observability pipelines with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and distributed tracing (Open Telemetry).
Support backup, availability, and disaster recovery configurations using Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and Availability Zones.
Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to implement cloud-native best practices for security, scalability, and resilience.
Participate in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) for automated deployments.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Programming & Frameworks:

Proficiency in Java (Java 11/17).
Experience with Spring Boot microservices development.

Azure Cloud Services:

Hands-on experience with:
App hosting: Azure App Service, Azure Spring Apps, AKS, Azure Functions
Messaging & events: Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs (Kafka), Event Grid
Workflow orchestration: Azure Logic Apps
API management: APIM
Databases: Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Cosmos DB
Storage: Blob, Files, Queues, Tables

Monitoring & Resiliency:

Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Open Telemetry.
Familiarity with Backup, Site Recovery, and Availability Zones.

Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with cloud security practices and Azure IAM.
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in an agile team environment.
Good communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant Azure certifications preferred.
