Must have skills: Strong Python coding skills, experience with Django/Flask, database handling, API development, Git, and unit testing.

Good to have skills: Knowledge of cloud deployment (AWS/Azure), Docker, async programming, Pandas/Num Py, and basic front-end integration.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manager- Software Engineering (Python Developer) to guide and mentor our dynamic development team. In this role, you will drive the creation of high-quality tech products designed to make the learning journey exciting for global learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of software engineers to develop and enhance platform modules.

Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices.

Conduct and oversee code reviews, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues, ensuring error-free and scalable solutions.

Optimize application performance and guide the team on scalability best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of features.

Mentor team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

Document code, technical specifications, and project requirements.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

Master's degree Preferred:

12+ years of experience required

Prior Ed Tech experience is required.

Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience developing web applications using Django and Flask.

Strong experience with API development, RESTful APIs, and large-scale codebases.

Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like j Query) and databases (MySQL).

Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, and basics of Linux and Docker is preferred.

Proficiency in additional programming languages like Java or PHP is a plus.

Proven ability to lead and manage teams, ensuring project timelines and quality.

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Strong familiarity with Git for version control.

Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in dynamic environments.
