Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.

Key responsibilities:
Availability for at least a portion of US standard workday each shift for job hour overlap with other team members.
Partner with functional teams to review functional specifications and produce technical design specifications.
Provide level of effort estimates based on functional specifications or business requirements.
Design, code, unit test, debug and implement SAP ABAP applications while working closely with functional teams.
Resolve open development issues and recommend alternate technical approaches.
Proactively provide work status.
Follow development standards and methodology.
Ensure that documentation is properly maintained.
Support the change control process.
Conduct code reviews with peers.
Support application upgrades.
Develop test plans for new or modified programs.
Test, debug, implement, and document fixes.
Perform issue resolution and root cause analysis.
Provide advanced problem solving and technical support.
Working knowledge of the OSS process.
Through knowledge of the ABAP development process.
Understanding of SAP Solution Manager and change management process.
Good understanding of performance tuning.
Good understanding of dialog programming.

Required qualifications:
Demonstrated soft skills required for the presentation of ideas and concepts to stakeholders such as vendors, end users and senior management.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 15 years of SAP ABAP experience with core capabilities like OO ABAP, ALE/EDI, Web Dynpro ABAP
Excellent verbal, written, communication, presentation, and negotiations skills.
Ability to collaborate and work well with others.
Ability to engage vendor support on technical and functional issues.
Knowledge of SAP Gateway architecture and OData services.
Knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS) in modern SAP applications.
Expert troubleshooting techniques and ability to escalate issues properly and in a timely fashion.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution in SAP (either SAP itself or 3rd party apps).

Preferred qualifications:
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and understanding of Fiori is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA and scaled agile framework (SAFe).
Functioanl experience on ME, PP, QM, MM
At least 10 years of experience at an SAP A&D company.
