Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Lead with strong expertise in API test automation using Java and Rest Assured, hands on performance testing, and experience handling production incidents. The role requires continuous enhancement of automation frameworks to improve test coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using Java and Rest Assured
Create and execute automated test scripts for RESTful services (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE)
Perform performance and load testing using tools like JMeter / Gatling
Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks
Actively work on production incident analysis, root cause identification, and validation of fixes
Enhance and optimize existing test automation frameworks for scalability and reusability
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Azure DevOps)
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams for quality improvements
Maintain test reports, metrics, and automation execution dashboards

Must Have Skills:

Strong Java programming skills
Hands on experience with Rest Assured for API automation

Experience with TestNG / Junit / BDD /Cucumber:

Solid understanding of API testing concepts (authentication, headers, payloads, JSON validation)
Experience in performance testing (JMeter preferred)
Hands on experience handling production issues/incidents
Experience in enhancing and maintaining automation frameworks
Good understanding of CI/CD, version control (Git), and build tools (Maven/Gradle)

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Automated Testing.

Good to Have Skills:

Knowledge of BDD (Cucumber)
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS / Azure)
Experience with monitoring/log analysis tools
Understanding of microservices architecture

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication and stakeholder management
Ability to work independently and in cross functional teams
Ownership mindset for quality and automation improvements

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Automated Testing.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
