    What would you do? You will be aligned with our Finance Operations vertical and will be helping us in determining financial outcomes by collecting operational data/reports, whilst conducting analysis and reconciling transactions.
    Record to Report (RTR) is the end-to-end finance and accounting process that covers the collection, processing, and reporting of financial data to provide a complete and accurate picture of business performance. It includes general ledger accounting, journal entry processing, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets management, financial close management, and statutory and management reporting. The goal is to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Effective RTR operations underpin strong financial controls and support informed business decision-making. Design, implement, manage and support record to report and general ledger accounting activities for an organization by applying the relevant processes, policies and applications
What are we looking for? Education: Bcom, M Com, Chartered Accountant

  • Process-orientation with deep expertise in Record to Report and General Ledger accounting operations
  • Thought leadership in RTR transformation, financial close optimization, and reporting modernization
  • Corporate planning & strategic planning with focus on financial reporting integrity, close cycle efficiency, and controllership excellence
  • Risk management covering financial reporting risk, internal controls, audit exposure, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including controllership, FP&A, internal audit, external auditors, and senior business leadership
  • Should possess strong exposure to the end-to-end Record to Report (RTR) process including general ledger, period-end close, intercompany, fixed assets, and financial statements preparation
  • Must have prior experience in managing client relationships and leading large RTR and financial reporting teams effectively
  • Should be capable of acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for RTR, providing guidance on complex accounting treatments, close issues, and financial reporting matters
  • Well-versed in process controls, including a strong understanding and practical experience with SOX controls related to financial close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards including GAAP and/or IFRS, with the ability to interpret and apply standards to complex business transactions
  • Experience overseeing intercompany accounting, fixed assets accounting, and lease accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS 16) is highly desirable
  • Ability to govern the financial close calendar, drive on-time delivery of period-end close activities, and ensure quality of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Familiarity with RTR technology platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud Financials, Black Line, or Cadency (Trintech) is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead close cycle reduction initiatives, implement automation in journal entry and reconciliation processes, and drive continuous improvement in RTR operations

Experience with Airline business will bring added advantage
Roles and Responsibilities: ••In this role you are required to identify and assess complex problems for area of responsibility within the Record to Report and Financial Reporting function

  • The person would create solutions in situations in which analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors including accounting policy judgements, complex transaction structures, and multi-entity consolidation requirements
  • Requires adherence to strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near-term goals for close cycle efficiency, reporting accuracy, and internal controls effectiveness
  • Interaction of the individual is with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture, involving matters that may require acceptance of an alternate approach on accounting treatment, reporting timelines, or audit findings
  • Some latitude in decision-making is involved, particularly on accounting policy application, materiality judgements, and escalation of audit or control issues
  • You will act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments related to RTR process design, financial close governance, and reporting transformation
  • Decisions made at this role have a major day to day impact on financial reporting accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of the general ledger
  • Oversee and govern end-to-end general ledger accounting operations including journal entry processing, account reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and fixed asset accounting across client engagements
  • Lead period-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely delivery of trial balance, financial statements, and management reporting packs in accordance with close calendar commitments
  • Drive governance over statutory and regulatory reporting activities, ensuring compliance with applicable GAAP/IFRS standards and timely filing of financial statements
  • Engage with senior client stakeholders, internal and external auditors on accounting and reporting matters, providing technical guidance and leading audit readiness and support activities
  • The person manages large to medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
