Job Title – Industry 4.0 – Enterprise Architect Management Level: 06 – Senior Manager

Location: Mumbai/ New Delhi/Bangalore

Must have skills: Industrial IoT, Data Analytics, Cloud Platforms, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)/SCADA

Good to have skills: Digital Twin concepts and platforms, AI/ML model deployment and MLOps

Job Summary:As a Solution Architect for Industry 4.0, you will be the crucial link between business problems and technology solutions. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end architectures that integrate client’s Operational Technology (OT) with Information Technology (IT) landscape , enabling data-driven decision-making, automation, and innovation on the factory floor and across the manufacturing & engineering value chain. You will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists to create scalable, secure, and robust solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities: Solution Design & Architecture:

  • Lead the design and development of end-to-end Industry 4.0 solution architectures, including IoT platforms, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and user applications.

  • Create detailed architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation (e.g., using UML, Archi Mate).

  • Define technology standards, tools, and platforms for Industry 4.0 initiatives.

  • Design solutions that incorporate key Industry 4.0 pillars: IoT/IIoT, MES , Big Data & Analytics, AI/ML, Automation & Robotics, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity.

  • Technical Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with business development and product management to understand client needs and translate them into technical requirements and visionary solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, hardware, and software vendors.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in Industry 4.0 and assess their applicability to our business.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Lead architecture review boards and technical workshops.

  • Develop and present proof-of-concepts (Po Cs) and prototypes to demonstrate feasibility and value

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software/systems architecture, design, and development.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in architecting and delivering solutions in at least two of the following Industry 4.0 domains:Industrial IoT (IIoT): Hands-on experience with IIoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT Site Wise, Azure IoT Hub, PTC Thing Worx, Historians), sensor data, edge computing, and protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus).
  • Data & Analytics: Expertise in designing data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time streaming pipelines (e.g., using Kafka, Spark). Experience with time-series databases and data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Cloud Platforms: Deep hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their relevant IoT, AI, and data services.
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)/SCADA: Understanding of shop floor systems, PLCs, and their integration with IT systems.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles specific to OT/IT environments (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST frameworks).
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, SQL).

Additional Information:Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solution Architect Professional, TOGAF, CISSP).

  • Experience with Digital Twin concepts and platforms.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment and MLOps practices.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and lean principles.
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing role
