As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of bespoke software projects. This role requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of software design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet organizational goals. The position demands active leadership in setting standards for code quality, scalability, and system performance, while fostering collaboration among team members to deliver solutions that align with business needs. Continuous evaluation and refinement of technical approaches are integral to maintaining excellence in software delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the establishment and enforcement of development best practices and coding standards.
• Mentor and support team members to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software components.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Service Now IT Service Management.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
• Experience in managing and leading software engineering teams through complex project lifecycles.
• Ability to assess and improve code quality, scalability, and system performance.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering effective technical solutions.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Service Now IT Service Management.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
