Summary:

The HCI Platform Engineer will be responsible for managing enterprise-scale Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure environments with Nutanix AHV as the primary platform, supported by VMware v Sphere and Windows Server workloads.
The role demands end-to-end ownership across L1 to L3 support layers, including platform administration, lifecycle management, performance optimization, and incident resolution for business-critical infrastructure.
The individual will ensure availability, scalability, and operational stability of compute platforms supporting production workloads across hybrid environments.

Root cause analysis
Capacity planning support

DR validation

Professional & Technical Skills:

Manage Nutanix AHV clusters in production environments

Administer Prism Element & Prism Central:

Perform cluster lifecycle operations (LCM upgrades, patching, firmware alignment)
Manage node expansion, cluster balancing, and capacity optimization
Troubleshoot performance issues across compute, storage, and networking layers
Manage storage containers and policies
Handle snapshot, replication, and DR configurations
Perform host remediation and failure recovery
Support platform hardening and security posture
Manage HA, storage resiliency, and failover readiness
Conduct root cause analysis for platform-level issues
Support DR drills and failover validation
Manage ESXi hosts and v Center environments
Support VM lifecycle operations
Perform host patching and upgrade activities
Administer clusters, HA, and DRS configurations
Manage datastore performance and VM placement
Support VM migrations (v Motion / Storage v Motion)
Troubleshoot hypervisor-level issues
Support backup and DR integration
Participate in infrastructure recovery scenarios
Tertiary Skill – Windows Server Administration
Windows Server installation & configuration

Active Directory integration:

Domain join/unjoin support
OS patching and update readiness
Cluster node OS health validation
Service troubleshooting
Event log analysis
Performance monitoring
Security baseline validation

Additional Information:

Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
VMware VCP
Knowledge of hybrid cloud integrations
Exposure to automation frameworks
8+ years in Infrastructure Platforms
3+ years Nutanix AHV hands-on

Experience with VMware v Sphere:

Strong Windows Server administration background:
