Summary

This position is responsible for a broad spectrum of projects from cloud-based engineering solutions to design and implementation of new application features and functionality. This position will spearhead technical innovation, guide and mentor development teams, and drive product ownership, solution design and software delivery in a multi-cloud environment

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Design and develop highly available, reliable, and scalable modern SaaS cloud-based solutions.
2. Build, test, and deliver microservice and micro-frontend systems using DevOps, TDD, and platform engineering best practices, with a strong focus on quality and security.
3. Write modular, scalable, testable, and high-performance code using software engineering best practices and industry-standard security tools.
4. Design, develop, and test application features with a focus on preventing unauthorized access or misuse.
5. Lead and participate in domain-driven software design and code review sessions, using modern modeling tools to create customer-focused architecture.
6. Plan, prioritize, and execute complex, high-priority tasks independently and as part of an Agile team.
7. Drive modernization efforts using containerization and orchestration technologies, contributing to system scalability and resilience.
8. Develop and deliver self-healing systems using modern observability tools and techniques.
9. Contribute to and improve team coding and delivery practices using modern version control and analytics tools.
10. Participate in and lead incident management and on-call procedures, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
11. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and support continuous improvement of build and delivery systems.
12. Perform performance testing on microservices to meet non-functional requirements (NFRs) and assist in triaging and resolving issues reported by customers and internal users.
13. Team player who s willing to play multiple hats like Product Owner, Scrum Master in addition to core role.
14. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Core Skill Set (Must-Have)

Java & Spring Boot Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for building microservices architectures.

1. Skilled in Spring Security for implementing authentication, authorization, and secure service communication.

API Integration & Service Communication:

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and SOAP APIs for enterprise-grade integrations. Proficient in designing and managing secure service communication across distributed systems.
• 1. Cloud Platforms
• Practical expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Skilled in deploying, scaling, and monitoring applications in cloud-native environments.

1. Database & ORM - Advanced knowledge of Hibernate and Spring JPA for ORM and persistence layer design.
2. Strong experience with Oracle DB, RDS (SQL Server, Postgres), Aurora, and Snowflake for relational and analytical workloads.
3. Skilled in JVM tuning and Hazel Cast caching for performance optimization.
4. Hands-on experience with Datadog monitoring for observability and system health tracking.
5. Proficient in JUnit, Mockito, Sonar Qube for testing and code quality assurance.
6. Experienced with Log4j/Logback for logging and diagnostics in distributed systems.
7. Exposure to security tools like Snyk, Rapid7, and KICS for vulnerability detection and remediation.
8. Skilled in using tools like Postman and Fiddler for API testing and debugging.
9. Ability to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities in application code and infrastructure
10. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Git

Hub Copilot for AI-assisted development:

Extended Skill Set (Nice-to-Have)

1. Proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD practices, including GitHub Actions, Docker, Helm, and Argo CD, enabling automated builds, deployments, and scalable delivery pipelines.
2. Experienced in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and ERP technical integrations, with hands-on experience in connecting and automating processes across Oracle ERP modules.
3. Experience with Oracle Fusion AI Studio for designing, configuring, validating, and deploying AI agents within ERP environments.
4. Solid understanding of AI fundamentals, including Generative AI, prompt engineering, guardrails, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and semantic search for intelligent ERP automation.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience
2. 8-10+ years of experience in application design, development and delivery
3. Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
