Summary:

As a Database Administrator, your typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. You will be responsible for installing database management systems and ensuring their smooth operation. Your role includes developing and executing procedures for daily maintenance and addressing any issues that arise to maintain optimal database performance and reliability. Collaboration with various teams to ensure data integrity and availability is a key part of your daily activities, along with monitoring system health and planning for future database enhancements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies and standards.
• Assist in the planning and execution of database upgrades and migrations.
• Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Experience in database backup and recovery techniques to safeguard data integrity.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for large-scale database environments.
• Familiarity with database security management and user access controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
• Understanding of database replication and high availability solutions.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
