Summary:

As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves developing tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with project teams to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. The engineer actively engages in iterative development cycles, applying modern frameworks and agile methodologies to create scalable and efficient solutions. Collaboration and continuous refinement of software components are key aspects of the daily routine, ensuring that the final product aligns with organizational goals and user expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and implement data archiving solutions using Open Text Info Archive
Analyze legacy systems and define archival strategies
Develop data ingestion pipelines and transformation logic
Perform data mapping, validation, and reconciliation
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Optimize archive performance and storage
Collaborate with business, DBA, and application teams
Support audit, reporting, and data retrieval requests

Professional & Technical Skills:

Strong experience in Info Archive installation, design, and configuration
Hands-on expertise with Info Archive upgrades and migration projects Proficiency in scripting, application setup, retention policies, and search configuration
Experience with data ingestion using encryption and masking
Data migration experience using Content Bridge, Open Text Integration Center,etc.
Data modeling and ETL concepts
Strong SQL knowledge (Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL)
XML, XSD, and data transformation experience
Scripting (Python, Shell, or Java preferred)
Configurations and reporting on InfoARCHIVE
Understanding of APIs and data integration
Integration with multiple ECM systems
Experience with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues.
Familiarity with coding standards, version control systems, and debugging techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Open Text ECM Tools.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
