As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software development.
• Maintain and update existing software applications to improve performance and user experience.
• Document software designs, processes, and code changes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
• Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in understanding project requirements and technical challenges.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
• Experience in debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software applications on IBM System i platforms.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Familiarity with database management and integration within custom software solutions.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in IBM System i (AS/400) RPG IV.
• This position is based at our Pune office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
