As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with contemporary frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous refinement of software elements are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering innovation and responsiveness to evolving project demands.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design and build of the new UBS Mobile Banking
• Native Android (Kotlin/Java) development experience, familiar with design principles, knowledge of version control system (Git)
• Understanding of Google's Android design principles and design guidelines
• Experience in test driven development, continuous integration and deployment
• code and ship new features to production
• work with external data sources and APIs
• continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• providing tech solutions and ensuring adherence to good software practices
• partner with UX designers, architects, back-end development teams and QA to deliver a high quality product
• create, manage and automate continuous testing of the features you delivered
• be part of a strong international team and contribute to success of Mobile Excellence in UBS

Professional & Technical Skills:

• a graduate degree in IT Software Engineering
• fundamental experience in designing secure, robust and scalable applications
• a positive attitude and a great interest in shaping the future of technology in banking
• native Android (Java/Kotlin) development experience
• Experience with Android/Jet Pack Compose
• Familiar with design principles
• Knowledge of Version Control System (Git)
• understanding of Google s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• experience in test driven development, continuous Integration and Deployment
• a strong software engineer with high dedication app development
• showing high degree of creativity by designing user-friendly applications
• a good team player
• a strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues in English
• analytical skilled person who manages to cope with complex challenges in software engineering

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Android Application Development.
• This position is based at our Pune office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
