Summary:

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues that arise within various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The engineer collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and supports continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall service quality and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of complex issues.
• Mentor junior team members to develop their technical and problem-solving skills.
• Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Linux.
• Strong knowledge of system administration and troubleshooting in Linux environments.
• Experience with scripting languages to automate routine tasks and improve system management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques to proactively identify system issues.
• Ability to analyze logs and system metrics to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Understanding of networking concepts and their application within Linux-based systems.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Linux.
• This position is based at our Pune office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
